Family & Friends Workshop: Holograms & 3D Perception

How is it possible for our eyes and brain to perceive depth when viewing a flat surface? Explore several types of 3D effects, including some that are often confused with holograms, and learn what’s special about holograms like the ones on view in our Optiker exhibition. You will also have the opportunity to create your own hologram of a small object, that you can take with you.

This workshop is designed for anyone age 11 and up; participants under 14 must be with an adult. Workshop prices include museum admission. 

August 9 & 16, 10:30am – 12pm,

$25 for adults | $20 for college students & youth ages 11-18
