Holographer Per Skande, Lasergruppen Holovision AB. Hologram Museum/Gallery initiated an artist grant from the Swedish Culture Committee. Esse´s 5 pieces were produced in Stockholm 1982.

Mandala means circle and is a visual tool in traditional meditation.

This hologram is not a traditional mandala. Neither in its construction nor in its form. The hologram with its different symbolic elements is never the less meant to activate a process of meditation. Of our origin, our future and our aspiration to control nature and unveil the enigma of life. Artist Hans Esse Esselius

The hologram Mandala for the eighties can also be seen as a modern Icon, a HolyGram. And is one of many collector pieces that now appears at auction houses.
